FALL PRODUCT PROGRAM 2019
Oct. 1-31, 2019
Online-only – no order cards or girl delivery
Are there any printed materials on the sale I can give girls or parents?
We have printed flyers here at the Service Center you can pick up, or Customer Care can email you a pdf
you can print on your home printer. Unfortunately, the vendor could not ship to Communities this year.
What is the best way to prepare girls for Fall Product Program?
Until the software opens, the best thing is to make sure everyone has renewed their membership for
2020. Everyone must renew by Sept. 30, 2019 to participate. Once you receive your email invitation, go
online and click on the Trefoil image, then “Program Info” and “Online Training”. Watch the 2.5-minute
Welcome Video for a quick overview of the program dashboard but remember GSTF program is online
When will volunteers and girls be able to access the sale software, Unify?
Staff will upload girls and volunteers on Oct. 1, 2019 – the first day of the new Girl Scout membership
year. The vendor will then send out welcome emails with registration links. Both co-leaders will be
uploaded; if you wish to designate one person as product manager you can check the box for that role
within the Troop User roster.
How does the online-only sale work?
Encourage girls to set up their online sites – it’s great practice for Digital Cookie. Then have them send
out at least 15 emails to friends and family. They’ll earn a patch just for sending the emails.
How can I help girls set up their sites?
There are many helpful 2-3-minute videos within Unify. From the leader view, click on the Trefoil image,
then “Program Info” and “Online Training.” We suggest you watch at least these three:
1. Welcome (but remember these are generic from the vendor, and GSTF is online only).
2. Girl Composed Messages
3. Text and Share
What about shipping?
All products are shipped directly to each customer. There is no girl-delivered product this year.
Nuts and chocolates
Chocolates, nuts and candy sent to South Florida require express shipping, which does get expensive.
Some volunteers are discussing combining several orders into one to save on shipping; you may wish to
explore this option. Also, please note that nut donations to the military are shipped free.
Mags & More: free shipping at $75+
Because of the express shipping costs for nuts and candy, a great strategy is to have girls focus on the
“Magazines and More” items. There’s a nice selection of items that make great gifts, including candles
and insulated Tervis tumblers for most college and professional teams, and a set of 35 all occasion
Are there any updates to the products offered? Yes! One highlight is a great new “Mags and More”item. It’s a set of 35 high-quality, all-occasion greeting cards with coordinating envelope, a $150 value
that retails for $40. There are some new nut and candy items (Thin Mint Almonds, Coconut Whole
Cashews, Barbeque Snack Mix, Dark Chocolate Pretzels with Peppermint Chips, and a 3-Way Popcorn
Tin). The collectible Girl Scout tin filled with Mint Treasures is an adorable vintage Girl Scout uniform
shape and design. Organic veggies are no longer available.
Is there a fee for customers to use credit cards? Happily, no – not this year. The $1.25 transaction fee
the vendor charged credit card customers last year has been eliminated.
What are the troop proceeds, and when will we receive any funds earned?
Troops earn 15% on all items sold across the board. We plan to ACH transfer the proceeds directly to
Troop accounts by mid-November. Junior/Cadette/Senior/Ambassador troops may opt-out of rewards
to receive an additional 3%. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, Sept. 27, 2019 to opt out.
What do I need to know about girl rewards? Like last year, girls can choose their preferred rewards in
advance and the selection will activate when they reach that level of sales. If there is a choice of rewards
and girls do not make a selection, the system defaults to the first item displayed. Make sure they choose
rewards by Oct. 31, 2019. The system will lock to troop leaders on Nov. 3 to give you time to review your
girls’ sales and rewards.
How will I receive any girl rewards?
Your Community Product Program Manager (PPM) will let you know when and where to pick up girl
rewards to distribute to your girls.
What is the sale theme and mascot?
Leap Ahead, Create Your Path is the 2019 Theme and the mascot is a fawn
